Hi All,
Just found this group and joined due to the excellent info on the Jadco DT-17 Flip Clock. My name's Andrew from near Sydney, Australia.
I have a DT-17 that I've had since 1999.
It was still working perfectly until a few months ago. Then, just stopped.
I now have the time to look at the problem & have found that the small gear on the spindle of the motor that "drives" the whole mechanism has broken in two pieces. Motor is still working.
How to resolve this predicament is my question ?
Has anyone had the same problem and if so how did you resolve it ?
I'm thinking of a replica via a 3D print shop. Any comments or opinions ?
Anyone have any information about what plastic was the original gear made from. Nylon ?
Any help, comments etc would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Andrew
