Hello from Adelaide Australia - Seiko Quartz help.

I'm here to see if I can find some assistance repairing a Seiko Quartz flip clock from the 1970s.
My Dad (who's in his 70's) has owned this for over 40 years and it's finally wearing out. Loses time rapidly. Changed batteries of course.

    A) how do you prize it apart to get to the innards? There seems to be some kind of catch along the top front edge.
    B) Would I expect a broken part or is it more likely dried or lack of lubricant or just dirt?

    Cheers

I have a similar clock here, I have opened it before, it's not too difficult. Remove 2 screws from the bottom and use common sense :-)

It that does not work, let me know, I might be able to shoot some sort of video...

My clock would be for sale and is working perfectly if all else fails.

As far as the innards go, this clock is very much different from the average flip clock so I, personally, have no experience in repairing one.
