Hi All,
Just found this group and joined due to the excellent info on the Jadco (Twemco) DT-17 Flip Clock.
My name's Andrew from near Sydney, Australia.
I have one that I've had since 1999 and it was still working perfectly until a few months ago. Then, just stopped.
I now have the time to look at the problem & have found that the small gear on the shaft of the synchronous motor that "drives" the whole mechanism has broken into two pieces. The synchronous motor is still working.
How to resolve this predicament is my question ?
Has anyone had the same problem and if so how did you resolve it ?
Anyone have any information about what plastic was the original gear made from. Nylon ?
I'm thinking of a replica via a 3D print shop. Any comments or opinions ? I've located drawings of the synchronous motor for dimensions.
Any help, comments etc would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Andrew
