The purpose of Flip Clock Fans from the very beginning has been to freely share information and restorations tips to lovers of flip clocks through the free sharing of information and experience. It is our primary goal to make anyone who arrives here feel welcome and allow them to ask any questions without fear of "asking a dumb question."
Sometimes, a person new to flip clocks may feel that they could never gain the electrical or mechanical skill necessary to work on a clock. It is not the intention of the Administration to make you feel this way! No one is born with the knowledge to work on electronics and everyone at one point started at the beginning.
Also, not everyone needs to learn how to restore a clock. Some people are not the type who like to tinker with things... and That's OK!
This is important - this is not just a forum for people who fix their own clocks. It is a place to share our love of the vintage things whether they are flip clocks or other items from the past. You don't have to know how to fix something to enjoy it or show it off! (Imagine if you couldn't drive a nice car unless you knew how to rebuild the engine).
Yet it remains a primary purpose of Flip Clock Fans to allow people with knowledge and skill to share their experience and seek guidance as needed.
