    Twemco Automatic Calendar Clock

    Hi all,

I have what I believe is an early Twemco Calendar Clock. It does work, but has some issues which I would like to address. The main problems are:
    • The clock only runs if it's laying down flat, It stops when I stand it upright. It's an electric model
    • The cards do flip over, but some are temperamental and the month cards struggle which I think is something to do with the motor attached to them as the plunger doesn't seem to go in and out all the way every time it's activated.
    • The cards are out of sync and it will not show the right date, often showing 33, 34 etc. Is there a way to correct this easily?
The plate on the back shows this as Model Auto 12

If any body has any suggestions then please let me know, I will be very grateful for any info or help.

    Thanks

Wow, congrats on your clock, it is very cool!

It is also rare, which makes it a bit of an oddball..... It is very different from most flip clocks that people work on here, perhaps it will resemble the early Solari models?

As for the clock itself, I also have no knowledge on those, they are very different from the clockworks in most flip clocks.

Maybe someone else here can help get you on the right track?

I’ll echo what’s been said. I personally haven’t seen one. But maybe eventually someone will come across your post and help. It’s still very interesting and I appreciate the chance to see the pictures. Good luck.

Thanks Mackey. I've managed to get the cards to sync properly, although sometimes the odd one will stick slightly but I think it may just need a drop of lubrication. The only real problem now is that it will only operate when it's laying down. As soon as I stand it up the power completely drops out.
