I've been looking at some of the modern flip clocks (all battery operated it seems) proffered on places like Amazon and was wondering what some of the other members thoughts are on them.
In my limited knowledge and beginning stages of the learning curve on flip clocks, it appears nothing has changed but the technology might have improved. I haven't had the opportunity to take one apart yet. I do tend to like some of the modern design. WoneNice (bamboo style), Kabb, and Twemco are producing modern flips. I've seen airplanes, bicycles, box and one with a pendulum. I do not like the battery operation as every one I have seen or previewed is battery powered. Has anyone purchased a brand new flip clock? Quality? Motor? Durability? Do you think they would be as collectible in the future as the 70's styles are now?
Just some random thoughts for discussion.
