Panasonic RC-7469 tines wear through tiles

Hi, I have a Panasonic RC-7469 and the tines have worn almost completely through the flip tiles. None of my other flip clocks seem to have this problem. I was wondering if this is a common problem with this model. Is it possible that the incandescent light above the tines heats them enough to wear through the tiles over time?

Are the tines still intact? If there is one broken or bent it could cause excessive wear.
It might caused by the light, that does not sound unlikely. But I cannot confirm it as I don't have a clock with an incandescent light.

Nothing seems to be wrong with the tines. Both the hours and minutes have the same wear

Just a lot of miles on those tiles.
