This is actually the same, internally, as a Lloyd's J627G-37A. Yes, surprisingly, it is stereo-capable and has dual-speakers. One at each end.

Some of the Lloyd's of this model number were made in Japan so there is a possibility that this one is, too.

The MPX filter isn't terribly sensitive, but it does work fairly well. Neat to see on a low-end radio.
