Dator 5 and Dator 10 restorations

Hi all

Long time lurker thought I'd share some flip clock love. I am in the process of restoring a pair of Solari Dators - one 5 and one 10. The 5 is almost finished barring a new Synchron motor as the current ones bearings are shot, and the Dator 10 is mechanically ready but I am in the process of mounting some LED lights to replace the neon bulbs (which were gone in my one) and a full respray of the outside of the case which was in poor condition.

I've not been documenting much about the process but happy to answer questions if people have them.

These are very cool, thanks for sharing! I would love to own one of these some time. I have worked on one a long time ago but I was not 100% successful unfortunately, they are very different from your average flip clock.
