    Intermarket Sanwa DR5

A very simple radio-alarm clock. Don't know why, but I like it

Would be neat if the dial on the front did the tuning as well as switch the frequency band. Alas it does not work that way. The dial only does the tuning and there is a separate switch for the frequency band.
The little label in the middle is covering a hole that could be used for another dial. Maybe the same body is also used for another model.

Confusing mix of languages here. The label on the bottom maybe explains how that happened.

This clock needed some work, but nothing major:
    • lubricated the motor to get that going again,
    • cleaned potmeters and switches,
    • fixed the alarm (some spacer ring was missing),
    • improved the wiring (some connections were insulated by tape which did not look original nor safe to me),
    • cleaned and lubricated the push buttons to get these working properly again.
For that last job I took the switches completely apart. Interesting to see how these work. Basically a small pin follows a little circuit where little edges make it only go one way round. There appeared nothing wrong with it, so I just gave it a good clean and lightly lubricated the pin and the track which did the trick.

That is a neat little clock. Good job on the push-buttons...those can be tricky to take apart and get back together.

I like this clock indeed and good job on the restoration! I think I have a similar clock somewhere, intended for parts and was wondering what that extra hole was for, but apparently it has no use in this clock and in mine the cover for it is obviously missing, mystery solved

By coincidence just found an eBay ad for a Sanwa 1000 that has a use for the hole: https://www.ebay.nl/itm/203490538759...2Cchnl%3Dmkcid
This time though the hole on the left is unused and covered with the same label
