    Copal LP-248 promotional text

On the back of the blacklight LP-248 from Japan. I believe it is a commemoration for 25 years of the inegration(?) of Iwama. Iwama, Ibaraki - Wikipedia

The town was absorbed into another, Ibaraki. It was famous for Aikido.

yeah, these texts they put on their clocks some times can be really interesting and add to the history of the clock.

        Agreed!

After doing some more research it seems the towns in this area were "integrated" with other nearby towns starting in the 1950s. The town that Iwama integrated with in 2006 was also integrated back in 1959 with a neighboring town. So, it seems Iwama also went through this in the 1950s and this clock commemorated the 25th year anniversary of that first integration since that would line up with the age of the clock in the mid-1970s.
