    Sony 8FC

    my £5 sony bought during the first lockdown in the uk, fully restored and running great, thankfully the service manual is easy to find on line for this one

    Nice work! It has been a long time since I've had my hands on one of these, they can be tricky to open up without a service manual

      yes, about 10 wires to de solder to get into the clock, very typical of electronics from this era, i made connections now on the soldered wires for when i need to be back inside again

        A really good looking clock. I had a Digimatic like this one as one of my first flip clocks, although it was not an 8FC.

        I'm a big fan of the Sony clocks, I think they're second only to the Panasonics from that era.
