    1980s Citizen School/Station flip clock(slave clock)

Recently I got a set of Citizen School/Station flip clock(slave clock) from Yahoo Japan Auction.
Actually they are not in good shape as I got them.

After some restorations and adjustments, they all works normally.

    Here are the video clips.

Here is the size comparison, as compared to SEIKO DP666T.

The size of the CITIZEN flip clock is 43cmx18cm.

Shipping must have been massive as they know how to charge for that in Japan but that's besides the point, they are very cool!

What material is the case itself? It almost looks like some wood kind of material.

Actually I bought them in Japan, and shipped them back to Taiwan. It cost me about 10000 Yen to ship them from Japan to Taiwan.
Each of them is about 6Kg.

The material of the case is steal. As you can see, there is some rust on the case.

I bought another SEIKO flip clock, which is also a slave clock, several years ago.
And it is even larger than these CITIZEN.

Here is the SEIKO one with Pragotron IPJ0612.

The size of the SEIKO one is about 63cm x 22cm x 18cm.

Here is a simple comparison to normal Japan flip clock.

Thanks for sharing, the little ones do help conveying just how big those slave clocks are.

That's not too bad as far as shipping goes, I guess, especially when the casing is made of steel.

They are fantastic, as well as the Seiko. I wouldn't know where to hang them though, you would need a large house or at least high ceilings.
