    Sankyo Digi-Glo 423D cyclometer

This is from Sankyo Digi-Glo 423D cyclometer. Looks very cool, but is still noisy even after cleaning.

Today I tried using vaseline/grease for audio/video application to lubricate the mechanism. The mechanism will work, but the vaseline is too thick and viscous so I don't recommend it. I removed the vaseline and re-oiled the gears using sewing machine oil.

          So. Conclusion:

Cyclometers are too noisy to be in my room during the night and consequently I'm getting rid of them. I am going to stick to flip clocks. I like them better anyway.
