    Copal 801 Large Flip Clock
Help! I need a new motor. The clock repair shop is not going to offer a solution unless I provide a new motor. Does anyone have the specifics of the motor for this clock or know of a place to have it repaired?

I'm not sure what the motor looks like in the Cooal 801. No one stocks those things. You almost have to buy another.

Most people won't send out to get these fixed. It's aroun 25 to 30 dollars to pay just to ship out and back to someone to look at the clock. And that's just about what some thinks they should pay total to get their clock fixed!

Has the clock repair shop even looked at the clock?

      Thank you for responding.
Yes, an old and respected clock shop has looked at the clock. They said that the motor was broken and that it would not be practical to repair. Surely there is a way, this is 2015.
I would be grateful for any help anyone might have towards a fix. I value the clock a great deal, enough to become a bit impractical to fix it.

Well, I can check them off the list. Here is the response from Copal in Japan. Very polite!
My best hope now is that one of you folks has a solution.

Thank you for your patronize of our products for a long term.
Our parts of flip clock had been discontinued over 10 years ago.
Unfortunately, we have to inform you that we can't provide any parts include a motor for repair.
Your understanding for this situation will be appreciated very much.

          Thank you and best regards,
