    Help with BULOVA noise

Hello guys, thanks God for this forum. I love flip clocks. I have a few. But my favorite one, my BULOVA James Era one works great, but it makes some noise. Curiously when I take the clock and turn it head down, the noise stops , then I turn it again and the noise its gone for a few minutes or hours. I think it needs some grease or something. But where?

Could you help me someone !!

    Regards, Nestor

    Beautiful clock, love it!

I have never opened up one of these, hence do not know what is in there. From the looks of it, it is not Copal, but likely some other plastic encased electric motor.

Unless someone else here has some experience with these clocks, the best advise would be to open it up and take a look at the insides and move on from there...

Can't offer much but a picture of what I think is the same model B-5410 series. Click image for larger version

No markings I could find on the motor case. The mechanism is a little more involved than a similar sized copal. It has a tap/nap nooze tab on top, in addition to the alarm on/off.

My guess is that it needs a good (ultrasonic?) cleaning and the noise will get less or will be gone, but have never tried it myself (for one because of the lack of an ultrasonic machine) so don't take this advise too seriously :-)
