    Twemco DT-17 motor

    Hi all.
my Twemco DR-17 stopped working after a power outage. I had a friend of mine an electrician look at it and he said the motor wasn’t working.
dose anyone have any advice thanks ?

Advice as in what replacement you need? Because when your electrician says it is not working, does that mean it is dead, or...?

I have a replacement here, but it is 220v/50hz and also I am not sure it would work with a DT17, can you post a photo of your motor, both sides? The gear side and the side where the label sits?

Just a guess, but could here be a blown fuse inside the clock?

Not sure if this particular model of Twemco clock has fuses, but I would expect an electrician friend to trouble shoot it and not just look at it to say: 'the motor is not working'...

One would hope so, but did he also check to see if the motor was getting AC power?

Actually, Twemco HK is still manufacturing new clocks. If you send an email to their customer service (info@twemco.com), the response is very quick.
I placed orders with them for clock movement repairs both a couple of years ago and recently.
You can also describe the condition of your clock to them, and they might be able to offer repair suggestions or solutions.

I got in touch with them for a motor for an older clock, about 5 years ago, and they sent me to their supplier and the supplier was able to help me in that case (not in another case unfortunately).
