I have bought a Japanese FlipClock (Seiko DP 668). After I cleaned up the gears it runs great. However, it gives off a humming noise. Any suggestions as to what I can do to identify and solve this issue. Online I have seen some suggest that it is the converter that could be the problem. Others suggest that a corrupt internal transformer is to blame. Any hints as to how I can solve the issue is much appreciated.
I live in Denmark where we have 230v. To run it I use a Goobay Voltage Converter with a stated 110v output. On the back of the FlipClock it says that it requires 100v.
