Electro Brand AM/FM Rolie

Never came across one of these before! Can't make out any model number but it appears to be similar to a GE with a Telechron mechanism. The case is actually wood with a cheap "veneer" that appears to be Contact Paper.



Unfortunately it's dead. When plugged in I get no voltage reading anywhere. I think the transformer or coil is bad.

I guess testing any of that requires desoldering all the wires?

As you may already know, sometimes you can test a component in circuit, othertimes you only need to desolder one end in order to test it.
