GE 7-4310 F Flip Clock Radio - quick whirligig repair

I bought this clock from an auction untested on Saturday, got it home, plugged it in and was very pleased to see everything worked!

However, it was making quite a loud noise and I had no idea why. Discovered this forum and was able to fix it that day, huge thanks to the community

I removed the side and top knobs, unscrewed 4 rear screws, slid out the front, unscrewed the motor, oiled the whirligig and fiddled with the position, pulling it outwards gently but firmly really did the trick, then reassembled everything.
