Yes it was really a chock after all the work with the gear. I had tested the coil recently, a screwdriver caused a humming noise (that effect is used for the alarm). Now there was nothing, and I could not detect any connection problems from the plug to the transformer. I live in Sweden which means 220V, 50Hz if anyone has a spare or ideas. I think it is very expensive to have the coil rewound, at least professionally.
