Habitat FARTECH Auto Calendar Flip Clock AD-650 (Standard)

    Hello,
I have a Habitat/ FARTECH Auto Calendar Flip Clock AD-650 (Standard), and the clock has stopped working. I have replaced the batteries, but still no movement on the clock. Is there a repair shop/person that anyone can recommend in UK London? I have phoned a few clock repair shops, but they do not fix flip clocks.
    Thank you!

Technically it is not a flipclock, it is an analogue clock with hands with a flip system for the day/date system. It has a regular quartz movement behind the hands. I am happy to take a look at it for you but I do live in Ireland, not far but you will have the hassle with import duties, higher shipping, etcetera.

If you tell the repair shop that the clock movement itself is driven by a regular quartz movement, they might be more open to look at it for you and offer options for a repair.

I have one clock like this one also made by Fartech. Besides the quartz clock movement, there are 3 motors inside the clock to drive the leaves. Mine is also broken. The bad news is that as I tried to fix it, I found one spare part is broken inside certain gear box. The good news is that Fartech is a Taiwan company, and I am also in Taiwan. So I tried to contact them to get help, their response is very fast. I will have some time to send my clock to them.

Btw, I am asking the contact window about who can help to fix their clock in London. Hopefully I can get the information soon.

Here is some update. The Fartech contact window in Taiwan replied some msg. She suggested you can find Habitat for local support first. And she said if you want to DIY, she could try to get some DIY instructions then give it to us. So I also asked her help to give me the DIY instructions, but I not yet get it.

Here comes the update. I just get a PDF file from Fartech for AD-640. Maybe it can help. But the document is in Chinese.

            Here is the link.

Thanks for sharing that! That's interesting stuff eventhough it is in Chinese, I am sure it is translateable. I still plan on buying one of these, broken, to fix it up but have not been able to find one for cheap, I don't want to pay (too) much for one of these in a broken condition.

Hi, I have a flap habitat clock (small model, exactly the same as the fartech Wall clock AD-650) and I want to take it apart because the days, dates and months do not work. I can not remove the back part from the front. I unscrewed and removed the 4 screws from each corner, but I still can't do it. I feel a resistance when I force, as if there was another screw in the middle, I am afraid to force too much in case it could break something... Does anyone know how to do it? Thanks in advance for your answers.

I have opened one of these up but that was years ago. This might be a silly question but did you look behind the removable, rectangular cover to see if there are more screws? When something is holding it back still, there have to be either some clips or some hidden screws.

Did you check on youtube to see if there is a tutorial perhaps?

Actually there's one! ( screw underneath the middle sticker) I just didn't take the whole sticker off the first time as I was expecting it to be right in the middle.. ..wich is not the case. I then managed to fix the clock. Working perfect now. Thanks again
