    Tamura Lumitime

Until a few weeks ago I knew zero of a Tamura Limitime. Now about the only thing I know about them is I have to have one. I have been researching a little and I think it reads like once the motors are toast there toast. What would I be getting into with lighting repair? Should I just spend the bigger bucks and find a nice one. Any body have any input on the repairabilty on something like this. Just trying to get a little input before I end up with a closet full of Tamura Lumitime Thanks as always https://www.ebay.com/itm/14412212477...8AAOSw9etg-Lxe
Update I didn"t wait for a reply I hit the it buy now I figured the box the parts and the joy of taking it apart was worth the price. Any input on taking one apart I would love to hear

I think you did good to get that clock. Even if you can't get it working you can start getting familiar with them. You got it at a very good price.

I figure a $30 practice clock is pretty cheap. I"m still feeling bad about your New Haven we all have had it happen but it still hurts when it happens. I"m sure I"ll see a save video on that someday. You just always have to remember its not the disaster that counts its the recovery

Yeah, I'm actually working on the clock and the video this evening.

I've had some pretty bad disasters in my flip clock career. Bad ones. Expensive ones. But... it's worth it.

Lumitime clocks are very cool and you got a bargain on that one! Once you buy more of them, you will discover there seem to be endless variants of them. Just when I thought I had seen most of the insides of them, I end up with one with a completely different motor in there, which is broken and now I am left finding parts for that which is going to be a pain in the behind unfortunately...

I was having trouble finding hardly anything about Lumitime repair when I found this video At least now I have a little idea of what is going on inside. I will post the link if anybody is interested or somebody in the future is wondering about the insides of a Lumitime

Thanks for the video! I wish to own a Lumitime myself sometime and it is always good to know a bit what to expect on the inside before buying one. Hope you can fix yours.
