My parents (living in Belgium) posses an original SOLARI CIFRA 3 in yellow (electric - 220 V / 50 Hz - motor), bought somewhere around end of the 60's / early 70's.
The problem: the time is not accurate (any more), i.e. clock falls behind over time.
We assume (but not proven) that either the (original) engine is no longer turning accurately at 1 RPM and/or the 'differential' is worn out.
Question:
- can this clock be repaired? (I have seen some Youtube vids, but the replacement engine seems much noisier than the current - still original - one)
- if a repair is possible, is the repairer interested in buying this original clock?
- is someone interested in buying this original Solari as is (i.e. un-repaired)? Only (very) serious offers are considered (no 'jokers' needed here)!
I am looking forward to emails / offers / ideas / practical experiences.
