Solari flip clock - motor coil repair

So i decided to have another look at a Solari motor that was reading open circuit, i’d love to get this clock working again, i thought i had nothing to loose by opening it up for a look as it was dead anyway, i’ve found one end of the coil, now my question is do i need to attach it to the other end (which i haven’t found yet or can i make my own end by breaking it ? is the other end likely to be near the center ?
    any help is greatly appreciated

Electro-magnetic coils are only going to have two ends. So, yours has a break somewhere and it won't be easy to find. If you "make" your own end...it's just another break in the link so don't do that! Hard to say how they wound this one, but most times there are two ends going to a power source. Regardless of where the two ends exit the coil...they should exit. Your break could be anywhere along the way, BUT is probably closer to the upper surface or outer edge of the winding.

You'll need some heavy magnification to find it.

ah i found the other end now, however it’s probably going to be quite hard to join it as it’s close to the center unfortunately
