What is exact diameter of original gear ? Edit : found in previous post I will be ordering some custom gear. I will share with my experience when done.

Good work Johan and thanks for sharing this! I can confirm that the drilling in stages really helps to keep the main hole focused on the middle of the gear without needing access to specialized tools, I drilled by hand, manually, that also helped to speed things down.

Also I find that chucking the gear in the drill and using a stationary bit helps center the hole. Kind of like a mini lathe.
