Hi
I found a bodet flip clock with time, weekday and date.
The clock as a wall mount that connects to 220\v.
Unfortunately it is not working. After disassembly I was able to conclude that:
- the mechanical part is in perfect working condition
- the board near to the clock mechanism as 2 rechargeable batteries that have leaked.
- the motor for advancing days in less than 31 days months is working
- the clock mechanism has a batterie compartment with contacts.
I decided to bypass the 220v board and power the clock with batterie but it didn’t work.
So I used an old alarm clock quartz electronic part to power the coil of the clock trying to bypass the non working part of the bodet clock. The alarm clock was powered with 1.5v but with this voltage didn’t work so I tried to use 3v (2x AA batteries). This way it worked and the gears started to spin. The problem is that when I put it in place it was not able to flip the numbers. I think it as insufficient torque to run the flip numbers wheel.
Do You have any ideas how can I put it to work?
Thank
Tiago
