In this video we're going to focus on the mechanical-digital versions, the C472 and the F472, not because they are flip clocks, but because as electro-mechanical digital clocks - they're close cousins. I knew that these were not flip clocks, but I presumed them to be cyclometer or rolling wheel clocks. However, to my surprise, they turned out to be what I have started to call "film clocks." I featured type of clock mechanism in a previous Flip Clock Fans video about the Seth Thomas model 8021. Surprisingly, these Zenith Circle of Sound clock radios use the exact same mechanism, produced by General Time (General Time was the holding company for Seth Thomas and Westclox at that time).
