I’ve had a Copal since the 70s bought by my Dad for Christmas and I discovered your forum after searching for “Stereocast”. In case you have ever wondered why some of your Sanyo flip-clock radios are labelled “Stereocast” it is feature not only for their clock radios but portable sets as well. It is a socket that allows a special stereo decoder to be plugged in to allow headphone stereo FM reception. I attach a photo of the decoder.
