Hello! I just joined the forum, and I'm looking for some advice. As I mentioned in the topic title—I'm working on a Lloyd's Multiplex JJ-6277. This is my first flip-clock; I picked it up recently at an estate sale.
The radio, alarm mechanism, and lights all seem to work fine—as do all of the dials, sliders, and buttons. Unfortunately, it seems like the clock motor is dead, or at least the flip clock is not turning on its own. Honestly I'm a bit adrift wondering where to even start in trying to diagnose what the problem is so that I can repair it. Any advice as to where I should begin would be very much appreciated.
If it is any help, I noticed that the seconds wheel (as circled in the attached picture) does not seem to turn when I manually advance the flip clock using the dial. Is there something I need to do to start the whole mechanism running? As I mentioned—everything else seems to be working.
