Hi there! I just picked up a Panasonic RC-6253 in great shape, and I'd like to use it as a white noise machine that outputs pure static overnight. Since I live in the middle of the large city, I'm hoping that removing the antenna will eliminate all the weird little bits of interference I'm getting (rhythmic pulses, clicks, etc.). Before I remove the cover and start poking around, is there anything I should know? Does anyone have a manual for this thing, or is there any reason this is a stupid idea? Assume that I'm a complete amateur with absolutely no prior knowledge of clocks, radios, or online forums. Thanks!
