    please please please open it one day and show us what kind of motor it uses


    Im toying with the idea of creating a substitude motor for the dead copal motors, but it would be a pain in the ass

    actually my current working hypothesis involves a microcontroller with a stepper-motor and a real-time clock to keep the time. The end gears are a little bit funny (actually from the ELAC rd-100 ones I counted 72teeth for the 60minute rotation, and this gear sits together with a 15teeth gear so the calculations are a little bit off, but Im quite close to perfecting it (theoretically speaking).

    but as you can understand this is no particularily cheap or easy to implement solution. Definitely more complex than the synchromotor

    So I would like to see what solutions they are using on these new flip-clock phones

      Too late for the FC1000. It was sold.
      There are quite a few modern flip clocks being sold now, Twemco, Fartech, OEM and others.
