    SIEMENS ALPHA RG 222

Hello everyone. My name is Asier and I write you from Spain. What a joy it has been to find me a dedicated page in exclusive to these devices. My English is unfortunately not too good but I will try to describe what happens to my flip clock.
The clock part is working properly, the problem is on the radio. There is no way to raise or lower the volume. The other day I took the watch to a specialist repair shop for old radios and they told me that the potentiometer was broken. The problem is that he told me that he had no arrangement, that there are no spare parts for this model. I do not agree with him. I have to get it repaired.
I have disassembled the appliance and have the potentiometer removed. I cleaned it with clean contacts and it stays the same, I think the tracks are worn.
Does anyone know where to locate a similar or compatible potentiometer? The code is D 10K ohms R911 T071
I would be very grateful to you,

    Greetings,

    Asier

    Hi Asier,
What many of us do when we have an old clock radio with a broken part is look for another one of the same model that is damaged in some other way, buy it for cheap and take the needed part off. You may also look on ebay and search for 10k Ohm Straight Slide Potentiometer or 10K Slide pot and see if you can find something that matches the dimensions. Even if the new one doesn't quite fit you might be able to take it apart and use the pieces to repair the one you have, all depends on how much you want to mess with it. Good luck on finding your part.

      Retro is right.
      But before you replace,
try putting some dielectric grease on those tracks. That has worked for me in similar circumstances.
